Absolutely stunning opaline white glass and teak mid-century Scandinavian styled table lamps. This pair is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of find. Each expertly sculpted, four-sided gorgeous white shimmer glazing lamp body has a subtle teak accent piece at the bottom and top to remind us of the exquisite sensibilities of the middle of the last century. I have scoured the internet for the actual designer and manufacturer to no avail. Are they from any of these glasswork towns like Orrefoss, Kosta, Kastrup and Hadeland? Are they Holmgaard, Orrefors, Flygsfors, Kosta, Hadelands? In this case, we feel certain that their rarity means a uniqueness or that very few even exist today. These lamps are of showstopper quality and we are so excited to see where they may end up! Will they be re homed in your house? We hope so!
Dimensions: 28 1/4"-29" (custom shade variation in height so one shade is about 3/4" higher than the other lamp's shade), 15" to top of the teak neck, glass portion 13 3/4" x 5 1/4" diameter at its widest tapering to 1 1/2" diameter at the top of the neck, base 3/4" thick, top teak piece is 3/4" high, cord 7' long. Shades 14" high x 9 1/8" diameter at the top x 16 1/4" diameter at the base (shade discrepancy is due to the lamp shade fitting).
Condition: Very good to excellent vintage condition. Very clean with rejuvenated teak components. Original wiring in excellent working condition. Glass imperfections exist and are to be expected due to the artisan manufacturing process. Please refer to all photographs closely (ZOOM IN) for more condition information.
