This table may be a Johannes Andersen piece or at the very least inspired by him as many of his pieces were manufactured by PBS and strike a close resemblance. Some dealers have attributed this table to Johannes Andersen. Smooth clean curving lines of gloriously rich teak make this coffee table an absolute stunning piece of mid-century design. Curves and soft edges look as though they are straight out of the contours of nature from which they came. This piece will seamlessly merge into your current home design whether modern or retro styles are preferred. What a fantastic addition to your home! While information on designer Johannes Andersen is limited and difficult to verify, it is believed that he was born in 1903 in Aarhus, Denmark, and that he initially apprenticed as a cabinetmaker. He went on to work for many years in a number of workshops before opening his own architectural and furniture workshop in the 1930s.

Dimensions: 19 3/4" high x 23" wide x 58" long.

Condition: Very good original condition. No broken parts. I have cleaned and conditioned the teak, leaving the original finish. As seen in the photographs, there are dings and marks on the edges. These could easily be sanded out and re-oiled to give the table a brand new look(I am willing to do this if the new owner so desires). Legs are removable and will be removed for shipping purposes to reduce shipping costs. Please closely examine all photographs for more information on condition.
