Designer unknown. I believe it is from Denmark as I have seen reference to this as a classic Danish design.
A wonderfully crafted teak piece that looks like it walked right out of the pages of a mid-century modern photo shoot. You can just imagine it in any one of the Madmen sets and is just perfect for the retro enthusiast among you. Think of it as a great piece to gather papers, magazines, recycled materials ready for the fireplace. A great piece for the den, the study, or the spare bedroom. The teak wood is wonderfully rich in color and accompanies any room decor. After all...you are sure to want this one to stand out!
DIMENSIONS: 16 1/8" high x 8 3/4" wide x 19 5/16" long. The canvas sling hangs 8 1/16" deep at the center. Weight 1 lbs. 15 oz..
CONDITION: Good to very good vintage condition. No broken parts. Signs of wear and use as seen in the photographs. The canvas has 60 years of use evident. I suppose you could remove the sling and clean it. I cleaned and rejuvenated the teak with Scan Care Clean and Feed. The teak has some nicks which can be seen in some of the photographs (definitely the final photograph) Please closely examine all photographs for more condition information.
