Take a look at this outstanding chrome Sputnik Eyeball Ceiling Light! What a delight to find this incredible throwback to the mid-century era. The light is in very good vintage condition and is sure to be the topic of conversation for all who see it. Great for an entrance way, stairwell or above a fabulous mid century modern dining set. This fabulous tribute to the madmen era will be perfect in the retro or modern home and suits the 21st Century style and design motifs as well as that of the collector.
The ceramic sockets are standard E26 size. ***The final 3 photographs are examples of three different types of bulbs and their subsequent effect on the look of the fixture.
Comes with the original ceiling chrome cover plate.
DIMENSIONS: 10 1/4" from ceiling plate to the top of the light fixture, 15 1/4" long center column, 2 1/2"- 4 1/4" diameter center column, eyeballs are 6" diameter, the fixture is about 18" wide.
CONDITION: Very good to excellent vintage condition. Very clean with no corrosion. All original wiring, porcelain sockets and in excellent working condition. May have the odd scrape or scratch on the chrome, none noteworthy in my opinion. Please refer to all photographs for more condition information.
